LUKE McCUE MEMORIAL CUP 2023
Only weeks to go before the second Memorial Rugby Day featuring the Luke McCue Memorial Cup, on Saturday 18th March 2023 at Rugby Park Goulburn kicking off at 9am.
The format for the 2023 event will include a program warmer of our junior Fizzy Reds and Crookwell Pups followed by the trial match between Goulburn Dirty Reds and Crookwell Dogs. The social rugby 7’s rounds will commence at the conclusion of the trial match.
The playing day concludes around 5pm with presentations to the winners. Live music and dinner stalls will follow. The evening will also see the drawing of the raffle and auction.
Canteen and bar facilities will be provided on the day. No alcohol is to be brought onto Rugby Park for personal consumption.
All codes of sport are welcome to participate in the day. Rugby rules of the day apply e.g. a player wearing red shorts cannot be tackled

Player registration details include the following:
- Register online @ https://www.rugby.com.au/rugby-xplorer.
- Registration fee is $35 per player
- Registration includes participation, team t-shirt and a bumper sticker
- Please complete your registration at least 2 weeks before the event, to assist with event logistics
- Nominate your preferred team via your registration, but the Committee reserves the right to mix things up
This year the team names are Bundy Rums, Great Northerns, Sandmans, Wallabies, Labradors, Sharks, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Team Tangi Tangitamaiti.
Gate takings, auction and raffle proceeds will be gifted to the Crookwell Rugby Club Injured Players Fund.
This event is a great way to unite the Goulburn and Crookwell communities in the name of rugby and commemorate the tragic loss of young people from the rugby community. The young people being honoured during the 2023 event are Hugo Cunningham, Tangi Tangitamaiti, Chadd Selby and Luke McCue.
