Due to the Protected Industrial Action Day tomorrow, the The Tell Them From Me Student Survey will now go ahead on Thursday 2 June.
YEAR 12 PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent/Teacher interviews for Year 12 will be held next Tuesday 31 May 2022.
All interviews will be held via phone and will take place between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
These interviews are very important as they facilitate communication between home
and school, strengthening the partnership, and openly discussing areas that need to
be addressed.
Please note these are the final parent teacher interviews for our Year 12 students.
The appointments will only be five minutes in length, so if you find that you require
more time, please make an appointment to speak with the relevant teacher at a time
that is convenient for you both later in the term.
Interviews must be booked online using the Parent Portal in COMPASS and can benow be arranged.
Bookings will close next Monday 30 May 2022 at 3.30pm.
Year 12 Half Yearly Reports are now available online through the COMPASS parent portal.
A guide on how to arrange interviews is below.
TELL THEM FROM ME - PARENT SURVEY
We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community, we would greatly appreciate your feedback.
The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Trinity Catholic College.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. It must be completed in one session; you cannot come back to it.
You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below:
UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG ACCESS AND INCLUSION ZOOM WEBINAR YR 10-12 STUDENTS
The University of Wollongong (UOW) Outreach & Widening Participation Unit is offering a Transitioning to Tertiary Education Zoom Webinar for Years 10-12 Students with Support Needs who may wish to study at UOW.
The webinar will also provide guidance for those supporting the students – parents, carers, teachers and support workers.
Details: Thursday July 21, 6-7pm.
The aim is to provide information and support to boost both knowledge and confidence for those wishing to attend university.
Topics covered will include setting expectations within an adult learning environment and support services available for students with mental health or physical support needs.
The webinar will involve an introduction to the UOW Student Support Services unit.
Registration details are on the attached Access and Inclusion Flyer.
On receipt of this information we will communicate directly with further registration details for teachers, students and their carer’s.
At this stage we also ask your assistance in considering those Year 10, 11 and 12 students in your school who you think would benefit from this webinar.
We look forward to hearing from you.
When your child needs to leave School early, please make sure they complete the following steps:
1. A written note signed from their parent/carer. This note can be made in the Student diary on the day of the planned absence, or on a separate piece of paper.
2. The student then takes the note to Homeroom and asks their Homeroom teachers to sign it.
3. The note must also be signed by a House Coordinator.
4. The student comes to the front office with their signed note.
5. Front office staff assist student to sign out.
6. Students wait for parent/carer to collect them.
Please note, parent or carer MUST present to the Office to collect student.
The College should be notified of any foreseen student leave. An Application for Exemption Form is available from the College Office and is required to be completed by parents/carers and returned to the College at least 10 school days prior to any leave. Leave or travel over 10 days requires a different form; please contact Reception. If, during the period of leave, your child has assessments due they should also complete the Notification of Planned Absence form which is in the appendix of their student assessment handbook.
