Dear Parents and Carers
FAREWELL TO STAFF
At the end of this term, Mrs Lorraine Greig's time with us comes to a close. Mrs Greig has taught in our community for the last twelve months working in a part-time capacity as the German/French teacher. Thank you to Mrs Greig who has done an awesome job; we have appreciated the sharing of her many talents including that of a language teacher. I am certain we will see Mrs Greig back in our Trinity classrooms from time to time.
STAFFING TERM 3
Following a panel selection process, Christiana Dillon has been appointed to a full-time permanent teaching position from the beginning of Term 3. Ms Dillon will teach Italian, English and History. I wish Christiana every success and happiness in her association and friendship with the Trinity Catholic College community.
Ms Phillipa Andrews will continue teaching at the College in Ms Kathy Parlett's position whilst she is on maternity leave. We have no baby news as yet!
Mrs Megan Picker returns from maternity leave working two days per week in Science and PDHPE.
Next term, we also welcome back Mrs Jennifer Campton-Smith from leave.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP 2021
Some Year 11 students are currently participating in a process to determine the student leadership team for 2021. Applicants for College Student Leadership positions must comply with all College expectations and procedures. The following process determines the student leaders for 2021:
- completion of a signed nomination form addressing particular selection criteria
- presentation of a speech at our College Assembly
- voting by Years 7-11 students and staff at Trinity Catholic College
- attendance at a panel interview with the School Leadership Team including Ms Shinfield, Mrs Croker, Mr O'Connell and myself.
Student leader positions will be decided by the panel taking into consideration the nomination, speech, voting, interview and suitability based on the selection criteria. Our next College Assembly is next Wednesday 1 July 2020 at 12.40pm. Whilst this will be a Zoom College Assembly, prospective Year 11 student leaders will deliver their speech from the Great Hall. Parents whose children have nominated for the position of College Captain or College Vice Captain will be provided with the ZOOM link. Interviews will not take place until next term.
ASC SPORT
Please note the Associated Southern Colleges (ASC) has cancelled all sporting carnivals for the remainder of the year.
A PRAYER...
Silence my impatience. Calm my worry. Restore my joy. Solace my distress. Help me to befriend my new self with tender hope and welcoming love.
Enjoy the weekend!
Blessings

Thank you.
Vinnies has launched a Crisis Appeal to raise funds for additional need due to COVID-19. Due to restrictions of operation, it has not been possible to run an appeal in the traditional manner. Vinnies are accepting donations to the appeal online or by calling 13 18 12.
The Vinnies Night Patrol Vans are still seeking physical donations of warm items such as blankets, jackets and new socks etc. If you are unable to contribute financially, you may be able to donate these items to your closest Vinnies shop for the Night Patrol. 5. Front office staff assist student to sign out.
6. Students wait for parent/carer to collect them.

The College should be notified of any foreseen student leave. An Application for Exemption Form is available from the College Office and is required to be completed by parents/carers and returned to the College at least 10 school days prior to any leave.
