On Tuesday 20 August, two teams and three teachers made their way to the most anticipated annual sporting excursion, ‘NSWCCC Hockey Championships’ in Newcastle. The excursion involves two full days of intense hockey games against schools from all over the state. The two night excursion is always a fun time, with team bonding moments, including the debate over who gets the chicken schnitzel for dinner and who gets stuck with the Lasagna.
Overall, the Open Boys came 5th out of 12 teams, and the Open Girls finished 13th out of 20 teams.
Our open teams had players as young as 14 playing against others who were 18 years of age. Both teams played exceptionally well and had some tough competition.
