Dear Parents, Carers, Teachers and Students
Tomorrow we farewell our amazing Year 12-2021 students. It has not been an easy road for them over the last four months. It has been very challenging but we are just so proud of them. Please keep them in your prayers. They have not only navigated the school component of their HSC but a pandemic, too. It will be a year not quickly forgotten.
Tomorrow we also farewell Mrs Ally Dunwoodie as she takes parental leave. We look forward to the exciting news of Baby Dunwoodie's arrival. Thank you to Mrs Dunwoodie for her great work as RICE House and Year 7 Coordinator. The life of a pastoral Coordinator requires much compassion, lots of listening and neverending fortitude. Mrs Dunwoodie has delivered these qualities repeatedly for Year 7 and Rice House. However, it is now time for Mrs Dunwoodie to focus on her family.
Mr Mark Burke will be Acting RICE House and Year 7 Coordinator whilst Mrs Dunwoodie is on leave. Thank you to Mr Burke for taking on this important position of responsibliity. Year 7 and RICE House will be well looked after over the next six months.
After ten long weeks, it has been wonderful to be back on campus at Trinity with students and staff all together. Everyone has been adjusting to being around lots of people again. We are getting used to the new play areas and being in the same classroom for most of the day. Teachers are getting their steps up; the students are not!
I wish you a happy and relaxing weekend.
Yours in faith, strength and unity
Gaye McManus
Principal

Trinity Catholic College is partnering with Catholic Mission by participating in Socktober.
We invite students to connect with young people experiencing challenges in the developing world through education and the world game of soccer.
Catholic Mission uses a Head-Heart-Hands approach to promote social justice and Catholic Social Teachings:
We use our Head to learn and think about others in our world. This year, our collective fundraising efforts will support vulnerable children in Thailand through a kindergarten run by the Good Shepherd Sisters in Bangkok. The kindergarten provides a caring learning environment for the children and allows their parents, often single mothers, to work and support the family.
$35 can help towards the cost of school supplies for a child for one year.
$102 can help towards the meals and snacks for one child at the kindergarten for a year.
$300 can help purchase milk for all the children at the kindergarten for two weeks.
$1500 could purchase one school uniform each for all 59 girls at the kindergarten for one year.Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children less fortunate than ourselves.

COVID restrictions HAVE CHANGED to allow us to offer uniform fittings in person. The Trinity Uniform Shop will continue to operate online as well.
To make a booking for a uniform fitting, please book via email uniform.tccg@cg.catholic.edu.au. Natalie Albury will contact you to confirm the booking. Parents will be requested to show their vaccination certificate.
There are quite a few existing student Qkr! orders ready for collection on Thursdays any time after school (ie not before 3.30pm) from the Uniform Shop. Double vaccinated adults are allowed on Campus to collect their uniform shop order. Social distancing rules will apply in the Uniform Shop.
When Year 7 2022 orders are ready, parents will be contacted to arrange collection. We are still awaiting the delivery of stock for some of these orders.
Some helpful hints when ordering online include:
- The Girls/Ladies blazers and blouses (both summer and winter) are in women's sizing. The sizes can be taken 2- 3 sizes UP to get the student (children) equivalent sizing. eg: Size 8 Women's Blouse would be the same as a 14-year-old student size.
- The Girls/Ladies skirts are in children's sizing. eg: Size 14 equates to the size of a 14 year old students. Both summer and winter skirts have adjustors on both sides.
- The Boys Trousers sizing are in children's sizing. eg: Size 14 equates to the size of a 14 year old student. Size 18 measures a 82cm waist.
- The Men's Trousers increase by 5cm in the waist each size starting at Size 5 (87cm waist).
- The PE shorts and PE Trackpants (new 2020 tapered style) are unisex and tend to run small for their fit. If normally a 14-year-old's sizing, it would be suggested to purchase two sizes up eg: small.
Please know purchases can always be exchanged if they are not the correct size.
If you require further information, please contact Natalie Albury via the email address uniform.tccg@cg.catholic.edu.au
The College should be notified of any foreseen student leave. An Application for Exemption Form is available from the College Office and is required to be completed by parents/carers and returned to the College at least 10 school days prior to any leave. Leave or travel over 10 days requires a different form; please contact Reception. If, during the period of leave, your child has assessments due they should also complete the Notification of Planned Absence form which is in the appendix of their student assessment handbook.
When your child needs to leave School early, please make sure they complete the following steps:
1. A written note signed from their parent/carer. This note can be made in the Student diary on the day of the planned absence, or on a separate piece of paper.
2. The student then takes the note to Homeroom and asks their Homeroom teachers to sign it.
3. The note must also be signed by a House Coordinator.
4. The student comes to the front office with their signed note.
5. Front office staff assist student to sign out.
6. Students wait for parent/carer to collect them.
Please note, parent or carer MUST present to the Office to collect student.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
